Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.
Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a statement.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.
The substance had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then located multiple other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement say early analysis indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to its origin; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the event," they commented.
Municipal representatives stated they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for information.
An important representative said the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be addressed promptly.
"This act affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he stated on online, recalling the death of nine victims by a assailant aiming at people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
