Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden championship for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and his other coach, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's initial trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to win a championship is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
He defended 4 initial break points in a tight final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
