I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
